APLD Webinar: Balancing Natives and Exotics: Ethics and Strategies for Today's Ever-changing Ecology (1.5 CEUs)
Thursday, November 14, 2024, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM EST
Category: APLD Programs and Events
Presented by Rick Darke, Rick Darke LLC
There is much debate about the pros and cons of using native or exotic plants in today’s landscapes. Rapidly changing weather patterns and growing conditions coupled with shifting species distributions in and out of the garden suggest that an unbiased re-evaluation of our working plant palette will enable our best designs. During this webinar, Rick will draw from horticultural art and science, plant community dynamics and resource conservation-based management to describe a balanced ethic for truly resilient, authentically sustainable living landscapes.
