APLD Webinar: Ecological Landscape Design (1 CEU)

Join APLD on Wednesday, November 20 at 2 p.m. EST for a webinar presented by Sabrena Schweyer, FAPLD, Vice President, Salsbury-Schweyer, Inc.

Not only should the landscapes we design be beautiful, but they can — and should — be ecological. Ecological landscapes require fewer resources, yet provide valuable benefits — environmental, economic, and human.

How to achieve success? We can look to nature for inspiration. Using examples of ecological gardens, Sabrena will discuss design, installation techniques, and even maintenance. The value of plant communities and creating habitats will also be discussed. She will also touch on alternatives to lawn, working with layers, succession, soils, and water management. This webinar will help you broaden your design perspective and gain basic tools to help you advance toward beautiful, ecological landscapes of purpose and resilience.
