I grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and have been playing in California's natural beauty ever since. After growing my business in Silicon Valley, I returned to the Central Coast four years ago and currently design residential landscapes throughout the Monterey Bay region. I specialize in California native plants and environmentally conscious designs, many of which have been seen on the Going Native Garden Tour, Bay Friendly Garden Tour, Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour, UCCE Master Gardeners of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties Educational Garden Tour, and San Mateo Arboretum Society Garden Tour.
I am a certified member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD), a Monterey Bay Friendly Landscaper (MBFL), and San Francisco Bay Friendly Qualified Landscaper (BFQL). I have taught courses through Stanford Continuing Studies on sustainable landscaping with native plants and have given topical presentations for the California Native Plant Society (CNPS), CalAm Water/Monterey Bay Water Management District (MBWMD), Bay Area Water Service and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), and other organizations throughout the state. From 2004 - 2009 I served as state level Horticulture Program Director for CNPS and am currently participating on the CNPS state Engagement and Outreach Committee, the Board of Monterey Bay Chapter of CNPS and as its Co-Horticulture Chair. I earned my certificate in Environmental Horticulture and Landscape Design from Foothill College.
