I grew up in Monterey, California, and have been playing in California's natural beauty ever since. I design landscapes and consult throughout the state, with a primary focus in the Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas. My designs have been showcased on the Going Native Garden Tour, Bay Friendly Garden Tour, UCCE Master Gardeners of San Mateo & San Francisco Counties Educational Garden Tour, and San Mateo Arboretum Society Garden Tour.
I served as Horticulture Program Director on the state level of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) for 5 years and am currently on the state-wide CNPS Horticultural Committee. I instruct classes through Stanford Continuing Studies, Bay Area Water Service and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) and have given presentations statewide on sustainable landscaping with native plants. I am a certified member of APLD, a Bay Friendly Qualified Landscaper (BFQL), certified in Environmental Horticulture and Design, as well as a member of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA).
