Employee Discount Program

Get all of the designers in your company involved in APLD and save!

Receive a 15% discount on dues when 5 or more employees from your company are members.

APLD is happy to announce our new employee discount program! Membership categories eligible to participate are emerging professionals, professionals, qualified professionals and fellows. A company with five or more employees joining as a new member or renewing their membership will receive a 15% discount on each individual membership.

Each employee must join separately.

Each employee should submit the correct documentation to join at their respective category. Employees will receive the member benefits associated with their specific membership category. Memberships are tied to individuals and are non-transferable.

How to take advantage of the program:
  1. Submit the discount program form to admin@apld.org.
  2. Each individual employee who is not already a member of APLD will complete the application process and submit the necessary documentation.
  3. To receive the discount, all membership applications need to be submitted to APLD within 60 days of APLD receiving the first payment. Otherwise, each employee will pay the full amount.

Payment options:

Credit Card (PREFERRED) – Each employee will submit a membership application or online renewal. Each employee will pay the full dues amount and then receive a refund via credit card when the minimum number of employees within the company (5+) is reached.

Check – Each employee will submit an individual membership application or online renewal and select “Send Check” as the payment method.

If the employee is paying for their own application or renewal, the full amount by check will be remitted to APLD and a refund check will be remitted back to the employee when all applications are received.

If the employer is paying for all employees with one check, the employer will receive notice from APLD regarding the total discounted amount due when all applications are received.

What happens if an employee joins late in the membership cycle?

If less than five employees are APLD members and another employee joins during a different membership cycle*, the discount will not be provided at that time. The company will receive the discount during the next renewal period and all employees will be moved to the same membership cycle. No refunds will be issued.

*APLD has two yearly membership cycles: January 1 – December 31 and July 1 – June 30
