APLD is establishing chapters to increase, encourage and facilitate local, state, and regional activity for APLD members, and to give APLD members legitimacy in the eyes of local legislatures.

Any group of 10 or more APLD members in good standing may apply for chapter status by following the procedures listed below. Chapters may be formed in any of the following definitions:
